BUSINESS AG TOUR

July 28, 2009

 

The Fannin Soil and Water Conservation District will sponsor a Fannin County Agriculture Tour on Tuesday July 28, 2009. The tour will start at 8:00 am at Tractor City located at 3536 S. State Hwy. 121, 7 miles south of Bonham. The tour will end with lunch, provided by the Fannin SWCD.

The purpose of the tour is to assist business related people (bankers, realtors, teachers, medical, chamber of commerce members, and insurance, media, and ag-farm businesses) or anyone associated with agriculture that might benefit from understanding current farming and ranching trends.

A Texoma Tour Bus will transport attendees to various locations throughout the county.

We plan to visit the following:

  1. Current Crop Farming                                              6. Tree Farm
  2. Active Ranch                                                             7. Fruit Farm
  3. Organic Farming/Ranching                                       8. Tractor City
  4. Wetlands                                                                    9. Forage Field Trial
  5. Turf Farm
